Movie Magic: Cycle One- Assignment 4 Scores!

2nd – Vid with Monica
Definitely different from my usual dark horror pics. I don't know. I just felt like switching it up a bit.

Genre: 5/5
Movie Title: 4.5/5
Model’s Appearance: 5/5
Creativity: 10/10
Quality: 3.5/10
Overall Look: 13.5/15
Total: 41.5/50
Comments: This was great Vid! I loved your idea! Your creepy ghost reminded me on Sadako from The Ring. Super creepy! My biggest comment about your photo was that it looked squished. I don’t know if it was or not, but that was the first thing I thought when I looked at it. Also, I think that if you had maybe moved the cracked mirror to behind the extras, then you wouldn’t have had to try and squeeze everything in. Layering can be your best friend sometimes. But overall, I think you did a great job!

Comments: This is really creepy! The only thing that bugs me are the little captions' border thing. Also, why not make it five stars? Isn't that what it usually is for movies? That didn't subtract anything in your score.

I loved this picture! I just thought the purple light was a tad overpowering, and well you forgot actor names. The rest looks really creepy! But thats how a horror movie suppose to look. Well done! Overall Score: 138.5/150

I agree it squished and that's my fault for rushing. I resized it too much. I also was tired of making every movie 5 stars and horror movies rarely get a lot praise. Oh well. As for the purple lighting, I did that so it wouldn't be so bright and happy looking. I wanted it to still come off as a girly bedroom, but a haunted girly bedroom. ;P

Anyway, it was definitely inspired by the grudge! I also took some common horror elements and threw them in. Then I took my model's sweet looks into account. It was a lot fun to do, but it was some hard parts. The actress, ghost, and mirror image are separate pieces from the main picture of the sleepover. Decorating the main picture was the fun part. The rest was kind of hard and annoying. Getting the image in the mirror was one annoying thing and the hand on her shoulder was another. I used a image of a hand and altered to look it was hers. Don't ask me how I did that or came up with that. It was out of pure desperation of getting it to work! Then finding hair and good poses for all those cool effects was another pain!

I took a bit of risk with all the color and no gore tho, but I'm risk taker! Bwhaha! I also had a sheer moment of brilliance and thought of a decent name for once!  My only regret is that I totally forgot about the actors' names. Darn it!

Well now it's the finale and I have 4 pictures to do. 0_o I have idea already kinda. Oh and here is the un-resized version of the pic above...
It's really hard getting my screenshots to look like long movie posters. -_-

  1. Here's a tip for making it easier to make long movie posters: Resize it to the size you want it first and then edit in all your big items (such as your model, the ghost, and the mirror in this case.) This way you don't have to resize it at the end and possibly squish it. XD
