I have good news!!!!

My father been discharged tonight!!! I was really surprised and I thought he was trying to escape at first, when he ask for clothes. xD

Seriously, they did the big examination this morning. He had been bleeding internally, which was a bit scary at first. Well they found 3 ulcers and that was pretty much it! Was causing him lose blood and they actually had to give him blood, because it had made his blood count low. Pretty much why he was weak and losing weight. Well he feels better now and is just resting. We still have to keep a close eye on him, because he is the type that will hide stuff just to keep out of the hospital.

I'm sorry to make you guys worry, but I had no clue what was going on at first and didn't know he was feeling that bad. With my mom being gone and my grandfather recently passing away, it scared me a bit. Also the guy rooming with him got some really bad news when they did the same examination on him, which also made me nervous this morning.

I will still be taking time out to spend time with him. I'm not sure when he's going back to work, but he will have a few weeks. So I will be around, but not as much like before all this.

Thanks to everyone who commented and wished him well.

P.S. I'm so happy it wasn't something more serious and he's home! :)

  1. Ah, ulcers! They're a real bummer, though treatment's a lot better now that they've discovered the bug that causes them instead of what they used to be like (basically blame the patient, 'It's your diet/lifestyle/favourite telly show, etc'! Or is that just the NHS for you?).

Wonderful that he's out of hospital already. Enjoy having time together and chilling out. Take care of yourselves!

  2. you mean there is actualy a virus that causes ulvers?? 0_0
maybe i should get myself checked out again. i got the whole 'its your diet/stress/ bla bla' deal too.

im glad your dad is doing better vid, sounds like hell be ok ^_^
    thats always good news
men are stubborn tho, so make sure your mom watches him good cause he wont admit when hes sick and has to go back. ;)

  3. That's great news vid. Glad to hear it isn't something more serious.
I had one when I was 16, about 100 years ago, LOL. They are painful and back then they would blame stress.
Now you can relax and enjoy some family time.

  4. What fantastic news that he's been released. I feel like you've had a tough go of things lately and I sure hope you can have some time to just relax.

I wish good health for you and all of your loved ones.

  5. I'm still around guys. He's sleep at the moment. He had to take like 4 different pills! One of them was huge. 0_o

Anyway, they found the bacteria that was causing it. I guess get ulcer through infections. All I knew was his stomache kept hurting and was sleeping a lot. We thought it might be a stomache virus. I had no clue what a ulcer was till now.

My grandmother is keeping a eye on him including myself. ;)

Thanks guys. Your comments meant a lot. :)

  6. This is great news. Glad to see all is getting better, and I hope it STAYS that way. :)

  7. Good to hear, Vidkid. I'm glad he's out and getting better. Don't worry about not being around so much. We're still here when you drop by. :)

  8. Glad to see things turned out to be not too serious. It's always a shock when you realise that eventually you have to parent your parents!

  9. That's good news :)
    Take care :D

  10. Aw thank you guys and he's feeling alot better. It's a pain helping him find something to eat. He loves pizza, which is not good for him at the moment. >_<
